So a few weeks ago I bought an 18 ft Mariah. Lately I have noticed at 30 miles an hour a humming or grinding noise when I turn right or left I don't hear it anything under 30 miles an hour. No water in gear oil took the outdrive off jacked bearing and u-joints seemed fine any ideas would be muchly appreciated.

Likely the gimbal bearing going bad.

That's what I'm leaning towards should have changed it while I had the outdrive off I guess. Thanks for the quick reply

Turns out it was just bad belts. :wink_thumbup:

has anyone replaced the power steering pulley? mine flew off while on the lake and now I have to replace it.
