Hi Everyone!

The wife and I just purchased our first boat and decided used would be the way to go. We ended up with a 1996 Mariah Shabah with the 4.3LX motor and Alpha One outdrive. Looking to find out more about the boat, what we need to pay attention too and just enjoying it on the water.

Being 23 years old I wanted a power plant I was a little familiar with and from what little I've read, the alpha One outdrive sounds fairly reliable in itself.

We are more than aware that it will have it's quirks and little things to fix along with some TLC items to take care of, but feel confident we made the right purchase for us.

Thats awesome congratulations. You will probably be happy with the fuel economy also.
