New To Mariah’s and the Forum

Hello,

I just bought my 2nd boat and 1st Mariah yesterday. It’s a 95 Davanti 235 I think it’s a Z model...but not certain .

It has a 350 Alpha 1 combo. It is a project for us, interior isn’t terrible but needs cleaned real well, and the hull needs buffed/Polished pretty bad.
I really was looking to upgrade from our 17’ Maxum to a bigger open bow boat, but this one came up at a good deal and I couldn’t pass it up.

I’ll try to get pics of the project up and keep updated, right now just trying to figure out all the little things that I need to get done before I take out on the water for the first time.

Looking forward to the forums help!

Welcome to the forum. Not a lot of members here but most are knowledgeable.

Re the interior. If all seems lost, consider using the SEM brand upholstery coating for boats. They worked well for me but are a bit expensive if you follow all the instructions.

Re the hull buffing. Consider the CoastaCoat product instead. I never like buffing the boat because that will eventually remove the gel coat. This product will not risk that. Again, kinda expensive.

Thanks! I’ll check both those out, especially the costa coat!

Of course, the CoastaCoat only works well if the hull or cabin is not stained. If stained, there are many chemical treatments available to remove those.

Also, some folks say that stuff is only an industrial tough floor wax like the ZEP product at a much lower cost. I have not tried that yet however.
