Hello to all Mariah sailors, 1st mates, Captains and crew, notwithstanding guests and passengers. I am a new owner of a 1996 22 foot Mariah Talari. My boat is an excellent place to store numerous "paid in full" receipts! I have had a few costly repairs, that I have since learned, were entirely avoidable. I have learned that nautical knowledge come with tuition not unlike college, university and other educational pursuits. On to the point, I have been blessed with tenacity and have been able to repair any number of trucks, cars, bikes and other modes of transport in my 74+ years. BUT usually I have been able to find repair manuals that have helped immeasurably. I need to find a source for reference materials that apply to my 1996 7.4 liter Mer Cruiser I.O. I have a bad (I think) starter or starter solenoid, and I could REALLY use some help telling me how to remove the starter. Any suggestions fellow weekend mariners?
