1997 Mariah Shabah Z198 Trouble Starting
Hello,
I am looking into purchasing a beautiful 1997 Mariah Shabah Z198 Limited but it will not start. A couple people have looked at it. Ignition switch is fine, fuel pump is fine. When you turn it on there is supposed to be a beep which is some kind of system check and the fuel pump is supposed to prime. This isn't happening. Ignition switch used a jumper wire and tested and seemed to be working fine. Was told that it could be a blown fuse but they had trouble locating it. What are your thoughts/suggestions. I'm really into this boat and would like to buy it just a little hesitating about this. |

It's something to do with the beeping thing when you go to start it. It won't beep. I'm assuming it's some sort of system check.

My boat had a loose fuse socket in the under-dash fuse block for the ignition line. I just moved the fuse and wire to an unused position in the block.

I heard it could be low on outdrive oil? Could this be possible? How do I go about checking these fluids?

Spoke with a very popular shop in town and explained to them what the issues are and with the pump and switch being good and fine on all fluids he thinks it has something to do with the engine side or harness? Can someone explain to me what that means?
