New to the forum

Afternoon all, new to the forum. Looking into purchasing a Mariah and looking for some feedback. I live in AZ and a fella has a '96 200 Shabah for sale. Has the 5.7l in it with 50 hours on it. Any ideas what a good price point would be for it? Any things I should really look for when purchasing a Mariah? With it being a '96 and only 50 hrs, I imagine they do not take it out much so.....any particular red flags to look out for.

Thanks much

If you check the stickies in the for sale forum there are some guidelines. Price I used NADA boats and make sure you list all the options. 50 hours? You might have maintenance issues from lack of use.

tleja,

Welcome, I'm in AZ also and frequent Lake Pleasant almost every weekend. One thing I do every year as routine maintenance is to change out the rubber impeller pump. The part cost me about $20 bucks for my 7.4. The rubber tends to dry out in our dry climate and left me "dead in the water" on my forth trip out as a new owner. It's a pretty easy part to change.

If your also a new boater the impeller supplies lake water to the engine's water pump. If it's bad the motor will overheat.

Thanks Tom.

Also looking at a '95 Shabah 202 with a 7.4l bravo 3 with 260 hours. Anyone with experience with the 7.4 in this boat? Dealer is asking $8500 plus tax etc. They said they have been thru the boat and I'll in good order. Do dealers really do a thorough inspection when they take a trade? Good deal?

I haven't kept up on the prices. Check the NADA like firestone recommended to gauge the price.

I bought my 1999 Z222 Shabah off Craigslist at the end of the season 2 years ago for $12k with a fuel injected 7.4 / Bravo I combo. It had around 300 hrs and a wake board tower.
