Hello everyone. Just purchased my first Mariah boat last week. It's a 1996 244 Jubilee. Looking forward to getting it on the water next spring! I do have a question though if anyone could help. It has a 5.7 Chevy engine that was recently overhauled as the original engine cracked the block. The current engine has a blown head gasket that I'm replacing. From the engine block numbers it's just telling me it is a 1969 to 1979 block. I'm trying to figure out which head gasket set it needs. I stopped by a parts store yesterday and the gasket sets they have for that engine range from $40 to over $400. Any ideas from Mariah owners out there what set the engine should have? Welcome to the MOC tonyi, and congrats on your "new" Mariah! Unfortunately we probably won't be much help, as Mariahs were built from 1989-2001, so we probably can't tell what gasket set a 1969-1979 engine would need. Mercruiserparts.com may be able to help, with a little searching.
