hello new friends, I need to increase the power of my engine mercruiser 3.0 L to 5,900 meters above sea level, any ideas?

A 3% loss of horsepower per 1000 ft of altitude is no fun, particularly with an underpowered 3.0. If you have a carbureted engine then your only real option for the engine is to rejet the carbs with smaller jets. You could also install another prop with 2" or even 3" less pitch (ie go from a 19" to a 17" or a 16") to help it out too.
btw... 5900 meters? That's like 19,300 ft and a 57% power loss! Are you sure? |
