"Brackish" water running
I will be heading down to orange beach Alabama in the summer time for a week. I have only ran this boat in fresh water. Anything I need to do prep wise before I run it in brackish water. We will be staying in the bay's and intercostal. Ive been told I should be just fine with no issues but anyone here with advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably just running fresh water through it after taking it out of water. I haven't done brackish or salt personally but that's what I would do

I run in coastal waters all the time.
If it's a permanent move then you'll need to change your anodes over, but if it's just for a short while you should be fine. I flush my engine after every run, but then I trailer my boat so it's not a problem. One hilt I will offer is clean your screen toughly with some sort of water replant screen wash. Salt water when on the screen dries out and leaves the salt behind making it a pain to see. |

My friend here in Alabama makes that trip twice a year. All he does when he gets back is run it in Lake Martin when he gets back. Also he gives the hull a nice lake bath.
