Cover options.
Okay, my boat has the cover for the cockpit area, butit does have some age on it and some of the snaps have broken off. I have tried looking for a full cover for when I have it stored, but everything seems to fit the 2000 and 2001 z258, but it says not for the 99. Can someone tell me what the difference is between a 99 and 00? Would like at least a semi custom coverror so that I could trailer it with the cover of I need to. Was looking at the westland brands. Thanks already.

My 99 z258 came with the whole cover but I would like to find the one you have because I notice when I have her covered completely like this it stays damp and humid inside. Sometimes I pull back the cover on a corner to let it breath...... This cover is the best for long term storage I guess........ Did your boat come with the pieces to close in the Bimini top .......windshield and side panels.... I would like to know where to buy those.

Re: Cover options.
Also..... I saw a 2000 258 sell on ebay recently and it looked identical....only noticed interior differences. The hull, glass and transom area looked identical...but that's seeing it online not in person

Re: Cover options.
Mine does cover the windshield and it has air vents in the top to let fresh air in and to create a down draft effect to keep it from flappi by much like my jet ski covers. The ones I have been researching have an optional vent to allow fresh air in and to keep the dampness and sweat out.

Re: Cover options.
There is a vendor listed in our Original Parts & Vendors list that says they can supply covers for original Mariahs that might be worth checking out.

Re: Cover options.
Put a bucket of charcoal briquettes in there to absorb moisture!

Re: Cover options.
Thanks guys. Anyone have experience with the westland semi-custom? Or anything like them?

Re: Cover options.
I'm trying to confirm. Are the z258's the same from 1999 through 2001. I don't know why, but west land list a cover for a 2000, but not for a 1999.
Thanks. Justin |
