Depth Sounder/Finder Gauge Lighting
1 Attachment(s)
I have a 1995 Z240 Talari and had a question concerning dash gauge lighting with my main question and concern regarding the depth gauge. When I am on the lake at night all my instrument lights work great other than the hour meter and depth gauge. I am fine with no hour meter light but since my lake is shallow and at night more difficult to maneuver in my depth gauge would be my MOST IMPORTANT gauge of all. Do you know if on a 1995 Z240 this gauge DOES or DID light up and if it DID do you know how to change the light to make it work again?
Picture enclosed of what gauge I am referring to. Thanks in advance and I look forward to your responses/reviews! |
Re: Depth Sounder/Finder Gauge Lighting
I'm pretty sure that my depth finder gauge lights up in my 180 but unfortunately i dont have access to my boat until things warm up a bit. I would suggest first checking both the wiring to the gauge & the ground wiring to ensure they're clean & still connected.

Re: Depth Sounder/Finder Gauge Lighting
Looks like you have the Lowrance 3500 series unit.
And in that case , yes , it is lighted. Might be as simple as a bad bulb , but easily diagnosed with test light or multimeter. |

Re: Depth Sounder/Finder Gauge Lighting
Thanks Motoxxx43, ColoradoDiablo & mikeyt for your replies. Once I get it out of storage I will try to investigate why it is not lighting up. I'm not sure how involved it will be but I am determined so I think I will figure it out one way or another.
