Hatch won't stay open

The back hatch / engine cover on my 2001 Mariah Diablo no longer will stay open. Is there anything adjustable on the hydrolic closer arms (one on each side) that could resolve this or do those need to be replaced? If they need to be replaced, any idea where I can buy those parts from (or what they're really called)? They are just a couple screws to remove / replace so I'm sure I could do that much myself.

Hey bud! They are called "gas lifts" and you can find them all over the place. It would be helpful if you could locate the model off of your existing ones so that you know the exact size and "tension" of them. If not, I am sure that someone who has the same model boat as you can chime in as to which ones to get.

I just got some new ones for mine at a auto parts store. They have different sizes and psi which is how many pounds u want it to support.

Probably around 80lbs and a 20" length should fit your boat but it would help to know what you already have.

The model number I have is "spd-gs-5300-30". Didn't see any listed for sale on any of the websites I normally use for purchases. Any suggestions on a reputable website I could order them from?

Is the 5300 the model or size and the 30 the size or tension? I see some 5300 ones listed on Amazon.com.
