Depth Finder issues
 

My depth finder powers and beeps like it should in shallow water but doesn't read depth. Both may be messed up. How would I go about checking everything out from sending unit to the dash. Any help would be appreciated.

It's likely htat the transducer may not be seated properly. After a while the epoxy they are mounted in becomes brittle & the transducer loosens. Once that happens it wont read properly. It's not easy to get at either as it's mounted underneath your engine & looks like a hockey puck.

Do a site search for 'transducer' and you should find lots of threads from members with similar issues.
