Snap 'lubricating'....
Got an e-mail from our marina. Thought I would post it... Kinda interesting, I'm gonna have to try it!
CHIP'S TIP FOR THE WEEK OF 08/09/2009 From the service center To keep your canvas snaps lubricated and working easily, just dab a little chapstick on each snap once a week. Happy Boating Chip Niemcewicz Service Manager. Weird...;) |

Sure wish I had that idea before I spent the $7.00 for the snap lub at the boat store, oh well, maybe next year.:rolling_laugh:

Re: Snap 'lubricating'....
A stick of paraffin wax works too (we use it on our camping gear)

Re: Snap 'lubricating'....
I'm gonna have to try it... 'Ser why do you need chapstick?' I don't, my boat does! haha.

Re: Snap 'lubricating'....
I've heard a bar of soap works as well. Never tried any of them, never felt the need.
