mariah stiching on back of seats are now brown
ok so the mariah stiching on the back of my seats are now brown because someone wore fake tan and got in my boat and it rubbed off onto the stiching...:shakehead: i was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to get it out...? any help would be appriciated..!

You can try some different cleaners, start with the mild, like soap and water. Then move to something a little stronger, like vinyl shampoo. Use a slightly stiffer brush and see if that makes any difference. Then try a wet Mr. Clean magic eraser, and as a last resort you can try a diluted solution of bleach and water. Let us know what worked for you!

If you get to the bleach/water combo: after scrubbing, rinse t h o r o u g h l y and be sure to treat the vinyl with some Meguire's or something after it's clean.
We used a mild bleach solution to clean some mold that we had on our "cabin beater boat". I didn't have anything to treat the vinyl afterward and in subsequent visits to the cabin I forgot to bring anything with. It was the next spring before I treated the vinyl, but it was too late. The interior had completely dried and was brittle and cracking from one summer worth of wear and tear. |

Also be careful with that brush. If you rub too hard/long it could start fraying the stitching.
