Taylor Made Windows
I have been talking with taylor made now for about a week . I also know that this has been a big problem for some other members in the past and me asswell . I did however find the sticker number that they have been telling everyone to look for and i gave the the number to taylor made and she did find that that winshield was made in tiftin Georgia and was going to get back to me on making me a new side vent window once she spoke to engineering and they have the right measurements. Here is the information that i have so far
phone# 260-347-1368 ext# 247 name Karen My sticker number is #050977 Lets hope that this works :):) |
Hey dwmax, that's great news, please keep us posted on your progress...
One last thing, may I ask where you found your sticker number? WetWilly |
WetWilly... The sticker was exactly where they said it would be. I couldnt beleive it because i had looked for it before and didnt see it . I found it on the port side of the boat on the inside stuck to the aluminum frame right at the bottom it said Taylormade and the number and that was it . but I did have to use a telescoping mirror to read it as it was between the dash and window frame for it is a small sticker . Good Luck with finding yours :):)

Darrell - mind me asking how much they quoted (if they have yet)? The good thing is, it's your side, vent window. When the dealership broke my side glass and called Taylormade, they said it would cost more than the boat's worth to fire up the mold again. I think the sides and curved front windows are the expensive ones.

I have not been quoted a price yet but I did get a email yesturday that she was checking to see if any of the other plants have one around with the dimensions that are on record before they consider trying to make one. I was told that they are moving from Tennessee to Indiana right now but she was checking with Gloversdale NY and Tifton GA records. I will keep you up dated on my PROGRESS I hope :):)

Re: Taylor Made Windows
As of today they contacted me and they have found my vent window spec sheet and quoted me a price $165 incldes the hinge seals and all to install. They said three weeks to make and ship. They took so long because they were in the middle of moving from Tennesee to Indiana and are now pretty much settled in. I will let you know how it looks when I get the window from them the only problem is its a little pricey but I need it sooooo oh well "B O A T " Break Out Another Thousand.

Re: Taylor Made Windows
Congratulations Darrell! We finally get to hear something positive when it comes to dealing with Taylormade. :wink_thumbup:
Indy is right. I'm afraid to hear the cost of them reproducing one of the curved glass windows..... |
Re: Taylor Made Windows
You know mikeyt your right, Maybe I should ask them how much to make my curved glass just for curiosity because they do have my window manufacturers code just a thought ;)

Re: Taylor Made Windows
I am happy to tell everyone that I just today received the new vent window and it is perfect, :rolling_laugh::rolling_laugh::wink_thumbup::wink_ thumbup: looks just like the rest of the windows. I just wanted everyone to know that it can be done through taylor made it just takes a while

Re: Taylor Made Windows
The curved windshields sure look sharp, but the thought of breaking one scares the bejesus out of me.

Re: Taylor Made Windows
Well I just broke my curve left passenger side windshield so I guess it's time for me to dig deep in my pockets. I've been looking for that part number but I'll look so more tomorrow.

Re: Taylor Made Windows
Hi everyone, seeing how the windshield appears to be the Holy Grail of Mariah parts, I'm hoping we can gather enough part numbers to cover the most needed and available sections for our Mariahs.
So, could I ask a few big favors from our members that have found this elusive part number sticker for the windshield sections.... 1) Could you send me the parts numbers that you've found, the windshield section it's for and the model and year of your Mariah. 2) Could someone take a picture of the sticker showing it's location and what it looks like for the rest of us? 3) If you've contacted Taylor Made, was it available and if so, that was the cost of the section. If you can help, contact me via PM so we don't tie up this thread. Thanks, WetWilly |
Re: Taylor Made Windows
Daryl, Thanks for the news. When I contacted Taylor Made they told me at they no longer had the pattern for my side vent window. I was able to get the molding from them & was hoping to have a replacement window cut locally. I think I will try your contact.
thanks, Terry |

Re: Taylor Made Windows
Just realize that this thread is 4 years old though. Another easy and far less expensive option is to make one yourself out of acrylic or lexan.

Re: Taylor Made Windows
This was a very long time ago. However I had to have them make me two of those vent windows because the first one didn't fit. the measurements were off according to there own diagram that they sent me. So they made me another one because it was there fault. The second one fit exactly as it was supposed to, And still looks good today and still works perfectly.. I will tell you that it took a lot of back and forth phone calls and emails. I believe that I still have there diagram and build sheet for the vent windows. I can scan it to my computer and send it to you if that would help.. on the build sheet that they gave me it says 1998 Mariah 202 but they are all the same from 1998-2002, & the 202 and the 212 are also the same size. I hope this helps you out.. Good Luck!!! I hope they come through for you;) PS. send me your email address and I will send you the build sheet..
