Engine hatch motor
1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone help me find a new engine hatch motor? 2001 Mariah 275 7.4 bravo III it's a single hatch with dual Rams. I think I added an attachment with the picture but I'm not sure where it is.

Re: Engine hatch motor
They are called linear actuators and the picture did not attach. Mariah used a few different brands from my recollection. Do a site search and you could pull up most viewed post. I think the manufacturer are listed. I just bought one because mine was missing. Be sure to check the travel time. Most cheap ones only go .5 inches a second. Found one for $200 that would go 2.5 inches a second.

Would two of these work for a 94 talari? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk |
Re: Engine hatch motor
225lbs is quite a lot of lift strength and may be a bit overkill, especially if you're doing two rams, that's essentially 550lbs of lifting force for something that weighs about 80-100lbs. Do a quick search on here for "actuator" or "lift" and see what some of the others have used. I know it's been mentioned quite a few times over the years.
When I replaced my gas shocks on my old Z250's engine hatch, I used two 60lbs gas shocks and they did the job quite well. |

Wow I had no idea the hatch was that light. Surprised it was less then 100 lbs

How many inches were originals? Mine are shot and won't move so I can't measure it. I'm guessing 16 inches. What do you think?
