Better be light oxidation. Wait , let me rephrase that, EXTREMELY light. Tried as directed then everything else. Light n fast, light n slow, blah blah blah. Way overpriced. Didn't even screw up my graphics. WTF

O wait I guess I do have shiny oxidation

I found the 3m compound and then polish ( 2 step) rotary buffer with compound pad then buff pad works really well. Its a looong process, especially when you do the underside. I did mine earliar this year and will do it once more before the winters nap. Lol
So what your saying is this isnt the greatest product?

No hunter, the way they talk it up being a varying grit and all plus price, really expected a lot more. Grit in it is supposed to break down as it spins. Also can't do it with high rpm. Well........I tried every combination of pressure n speeds and like I said, shiny oxidation. For those familiar with paint buffing, it would be hard pressed to be a swirl remover

I didn't realize your boat was painted. Using a stronger grit on gelcoat then a wax, i posted in a different forum where my hull numbers used to be, i removed and saw the shiny gel coat under, it took me 2 days. Used 3m imperial marine compound, 3m "finesse it" polish then lastly a 3m finish wax. And i understand why i was getting quotes upwards of 1000 dollars to do it, i was worried i didn't have the time. But i was happy with the end result.
And yes normally its all done with a lower rpm.
Don't give up buddy!! Im curious to see how you make out!

No no, it's gel. Just making a comparison for more people to understand. Sorry for confusion

So after buying 3m super duty rubbing compound and using it, the buff magic followed it up pretty decent. I can look in light reflections n c nice difference in finish. So I recant my swirl remover comment. It will do that. But if u have noticeable oxidation, move on.

No, just the super duty then buff magic. I could have spent more time on it but it looks a lot better

My boat had heavy oxidation on it and i used ALUMABRITE ....... yes aluminum cleaner lol.
It works awesome !!!! Its expensive but it works !!! I then put on wipe new and wow what a shine i now have !!
I tried different rubbing compounds first and then a buddy told me about that stuff so i tried it on a small area and presto !!!
It even took out the yellow stains from around the gas fill area.
