Gas tank question.

Hello everyone.
I pulled my boat out over the weekend to get a jump on getting it ready for the upcoming season.
I filled the tank before bringing it home filled my drive lube up let it run for awhile everything seemed fine but later that night I could smell an obvious fuel leak. Did the obvious, unhooked batteries just to be safe.
I am adding a couple of pictures to see if anyone has ever had to replace either the Feed line fittings going to the motor or the sender gasket.
What I would like to know is if the sending unit gasket is just the standard moeller 5- hole boat sender gasket?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Scotty,
The quick answer is yes, a Moeller or any manufacturer's standard SAE 5 bolt sender gasket will work. Your sender is actually made by Rochester Gages, click on the link to see the dimensions of the gasket. 9341-7000 Marine Fuel Sender

Thanks Steve!!!!
I have a quote request in from a place to get the original gasket from Rochester. Now that I know who the manufacturer was.:wink_thumbup:

Found my leak.:(
Unfortunately it wasn't the gasket on the sending unit. The weld job on the vent pipe has a small crack right at the top. This had to have leaked from the get go or close to it. I would be surprised if it passed the leak test in the factory or in the last month mariah was open I'm sure quality control was non existant at that point. My boat was made in April of 01. And now I guess I know why it only has 88 hours on it.
It's making me miss my 98 more everyday. Lol(not really I still love this boat)

Do you happen to know the depth of your tank? I am ordering a new sending unit an forgot to measure the dang thing. It would save me a couple hours in the car. Thanks. 98 z 222
