Trim Tilt Probelm
 

Hello, I have a 1991 Glassport with Mecruiser Alpha one gen II Serial 00559189.

My problem began- I could operate trim up and trailer, but no trim down. Heard click on up

I replaced the down solenoid. Had a heck of a time with the lock washers.

Now all up, trailer, and down, don't work I only hear a click on the replaced down solenoid.

I can operate the pump up and down with jumper wires.

I followed the procedure at:

Which instructs me to:

'"All circuits inoperative: Connect a voltmeter between point 5 & ground. Depress the In/Down button. Move the red voltmeter lead to point 3 & depress the Out/Up button. If no voltage is shown at one or both test points, check the connections at points 2,3,4 & 5. If connections are good, the solenoid(s) will need replacing."

I read no Voltage



Disconnect the blue/white lead at the solenoid terminal point 8. Depress the In/Down button. If the pump motor operates there is a short in the wire harness.

Pump motor did not operate


How could I have runied a new (down) solenoid or the working (up) solenoid?
