Deal of the day
 

So there I am, driving along US-12 in Michigan about 6pm in the evening on Sunday. I see a garage sale sign in a yard with just a few items. I pull in and the guy is just closing up. I see 2 brand new towable tubes in their packages with a sign of $100 each on them which I thought was a good price anyways. I chatted with him for 15 mins while his wife was still putting stuff back into their garage. His wife starts to give him the "look" as she's doing all the work. She comes over and asks me what I was looking at, I told her the tubes. She says, "if you can give us a hand for 5 mins putting the rest stuff in the garage that she'll cut me a deal but she's not going to tell me her deal price until the rest of the stuff is put away. I'm thinking she should work for me at the dealership as she'd be a good saleswoman LOL

5 mins later, all the stuff is put away. So I stand by the tubes, she says, "Ready for your sale of the day pricing?", I said "sure am", she said. "$75 for them both and I'll throw in 2 new Lifejackets and 2 60ft new ropes for the tubes with the floatball to keep them on top of the water"....

No brainer :)

Just shows the bargains you get just by helping out :D:wink_thumbup:

I had a story like that a couple of years ago. Stopped by a garage sale near my house. They too had a towable. Chatted with the guy for a moment at the end of the day. He said "If you take those 18" chrome rims (which he had no idea what they fit), Ill give you the towable" He was moving the next day and most everything left he could store.

Took the rims to the local tire shop and come to find out they fit my Chevy Tahoe. I was in need of tires anyways, so not only did my kids get a new tube, I got some bling on my tow(able) truck.
