Reading Forums on a Tablet

I've found I read forums on my tablet most often, now, and there is one thing that irritates me (I use the web version, not an app).

When threads are multiple pages long, there are the page numbers at the bottom (with an arrow or "next" also). On a tablet (iPad, Transformer, etc), it's really hard to hit the right page number. Why don't "forum builders" make these buttons a bit bigger? Seems like it wouldn't take up that much extra space...

I hope this is the right spot for a completely off-topic post. Just wanted to vent :)

Re: Reading Forums on a Tablet

When I browse the forum on my phone, before trying to navigate to the next page, I zoom in a ton on the page links. When the next page opens, it opens with normal zoom.

See if that works on your tablet.

Yep, works for me. I have to say, I do like the Mariah forum better than many others. Unobtrusive ads, pretty good to look at, overall a good platform. If I could have a 10 minute meeting with all the software developers that make forum software, I'd have some good feedback, that's all :)

I hear you. The forum comes up pretty good on my tablet and okay on my Blackberry. One site that is absolutely awful on my BB is eBay.

I used to have Convo (like a free Tapatalk?) installed on my Android, but I just didn't enjoy reading forums on my phone. Pictures make my day, and for that need the tablet or laptop.

With Chrome on Android if you fat finger a hyperlink, it automagically zooms into the set of links for you and allows you to try again. It is a slick feature.

Nice ad in your screenshot, Dredd :) Not that there's anything wrong with it...

I've noticed some interesting ads show up in the right column.

And those ads in the right column dont always appear the same to each of our members. The system picks up your IP address & tailors area specific ads when you are onsite.
