Daytona 500 Race Day
Not sure how many of you are race fans............but I sure am:D
Should be a good race. I can't wait to see how the new FI systems do on the cars. Who's your driver? Mine is Matt Kenseth from the Roush stables. Wish all the drivers a safe race. Larry |

Hopefully we'll get to watch it tonight. The weather has apparently been nonstop rain. I called in sick today to watch it cause they were planning to run it at 10:00 my time. Then another rain delay til 5:00 my time. Sure hope it goes then!:eek_animated: Larry |

used to love it, back in the 80`s, when you could tell a ford from a chevy, Daytona, door to door at 200+ mph you know, the good ole boy days, now it just puts me to sleep.

I'm kinda the same way when it comes to Nascar. Seems like way too many caution flags late in the races just to bring a little excitement to the finish. btw...so much for Ms Patrick... :(

Yea,i never was a # 3 fan ether. But it made me sick when he died. I never wil forget the dale and dale show that year at the daytona 500.

I am a big race car fan and i have watched a couple of races live so this is a race that i always look out for although i am more of an F1 fan still i do have some favorites on different types of races.i guess it is really a childhood dream of mine to be able to really experience these races as i love sports that are really very thrilling and get the adrenaline pumping! i cant wait for the race and i am sure a lot of fans feel the same way!

You should have seen the Dale And Eddie Cheever driving thos IROC cars on the track during speedweeks. Eddie drove Dale down into the grass at turn 1 at around 195 and pushed him into the grass. Dale never lifter and came back on track without lifting and on the cool down lap Dale punted Eddie on the concrete between Lake Loyd and the actual track. Dale just drove on to finish line. Prior in the race Dale had a bashed in fender and had multiple colors of hign speed tape holding the frontend together and should have messed him up aero wize. But he was going for the win later in the race when Cheever pushed Dale into the grass.
