Any Mariah Owners live in Oklahoma?

Specifically near Monkey Island. Reason for asking is that I have seen a boat on the web and its a bit far for me to check out!! I have spoken to the dealer and they seem to be genuine and helpfull. Just like a pair of eyes passing over it.

Hello UKZ275,

If you look at our Member Map, you'll find we have three members in the northern Oklahoma area although they’re still a ways from Monkey Island.

If they don’t chime in soon, I would PM (private message) them and see if they can assist you.

Our members are:

• 94 Talari by Bartlesville
• Boxcar by Keystone Lake
• jmills224 by stillwater

To send them a PM:

• Go to the upper right corner of the page where is says”Welcome, UKZ275
• Two lines below, ckick on “Private messages” and your will be taken to your User Control Panel/PM page.
• On the lefthand column select “Send New Message”.
• Now enter the member’s ID, title and your message and wait for your reply.

Good luck,
WetWilly

Many thanks wetwilly I have been looking on the Rand McNally road map for the place, I will see if anybody comes in, bit of a wild card really but wasn't sure if anybody was in that area, I should have checked the member listing first.

UKZ275,

Grand Lake is a little far for me to travel this time of year. Our member that is located in Bartlesville would be the closest followed by Boxcar and then me. If you can't get either of them to go have a looksee at it drop me a PM and I'll see if I can shake loose (that means talk my wife into a road trip.) and go have a look at it.

EDIT: is this the boat? http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/1/85795521.htm
If it is I looked it up on NADA and the low was $18,750 and the averaged was $20,800 with no options selected.

Thanks Jmills

Thats the boat, they have had it for sale since last March, dropped the price $5k since then. Dealer seems a straight guy, owned by a doctor since new, one owner. Dealer says good compressions and documented history, going to cost me a bit to get to port unfortuately, but the plus side its a fresh water boat. Canvas is pretty poor and needs replacing but the cockpit cover is good they say and the cabin is spotless, retrim of the seats is required.

Thanks for the offer, lets wait and see if anybody closer pops up, dont want you risking life and limb, heard your weather not been too good of late. Its been for sale for over 10 months so dont see it going any place soon.

As for options I dont think it has any, silent choice isn't on it or hot water. What do you think a fair offer would be? Our market in the UK is pretty dead at the moment, despite what dealers are saying, only stuff shifting is the diesel craft but some of them seem to have been on the market for months and need discounting heavily to move on buyers market at the moment.

UKZ275,

I'm not too worried about life and limb. Its more about fuel. Grand Lake is about 135mi from me. If it were warmer I would hook on and drag the boat up with me....you know, kill two birds with one stone!

You really should send a private message to Boxcar and 94 Talari. Boxcar usually hangs out in the "new mariah talk" area.

I've got some friends that will be heading to Grand Lake around late March or early April. If you still interested at that time you can drop me an e-mail and I'll have them check it out for you. My e-mail is jmills224 -at- suddenlink -dot-net.

Good luck,

~J

Many thanks for reply, I will pm Boxcar and see if he is passing by that area sometime. I don't want anybody to make a special trip just if they were in the area so to speak, I didn't realise you were 135 miles away.

By the way, are you in Stillwater? I purchased a closed cooling system and manifolds for my last boat from a company called PPT, really good guys, dont know if its the same place.

Actually I'm just south of Stillwater, OK. Stillwater is also the home of Mercruiser Sterndrive division...which comes in handy at times;)

I've never heard of PPT but I'm curious about them. The motor in my Mariah has the one piece manifolds and its been 11 years so they are going to need replacing soon. If you have some contact info for them I would sure like to have it. I would love to give a local company my business.

Anyways, I forgot to answer your question about a resonable offer. I would start with the low price from NADA and negotiate from there.

Let me know if I can help:wink_thumbup:
