135 hp will she tow tubes and ski
 
Looking at a 2007 sx 18 , for tow ing tubes and ski, has the 135 hp . Would this be a good buy ( 11000 )

The 3.0 will pull tubes and skiiers but it will struggle a bit particularly if there are more than a couple of people inside the boat while doing so. You can help it out a bit by having a 4 blade prop (maybe an 18") that will bite the water better than the stock 3 blade and not running with a boat load of people at the same time. If pulling tubes/skiiers etc will be a primary use of the boat you might be better off looking for one with a 4.3 in it.

But...the nice thing about the 3.0 is that it is very easy on fuel and economical to run.

I have a 3.0lx in my 180 and I use it forvwakeboarding from a monster tower. I have put a 15 pitch 4 blade prop on and It pulls two on kneel boards easy enough. If you wa nt an easy pull out of the water put some one up front.

Thanks for the answers , looks like this will work for our needs . We will be boating in Lake Erie near Buffalo , last year was a hot one and I want to get back into boating.
