Boats been in prolonged storage
I'm not "new" to boating but this is the first time my boat has been in storage this long, bout 3 years. I heard once that if it has been along time since your boat hasn't been started that there is something you can put in the top of the cylinders to help prevent wear. You pull each spark plug & inject something to help lubricate the cylinder walls for when you start cranking. Is there something special or can you use regular motor oil?
Thanks! John |

Marvel Mystery Oil, then Sea Foam spray in the intake/carb.
Did you store it with fuel conditioner ? Either way, top it off with fresh fuel before you crank it over. Once youve got it all fired up and running, its time to do an oil change, fuel filter and a new set of plugs. |
