Bimini Color for 1995 Barchetta 192

What color of blue is the trim and carpet on my 1995 Barchetta 192? I would like to buy a bimini top and would like to match the blue color.

If she's the same "blue" as our 1994 182 Barchetta: It almost depends on the light.

Before we'd actually bought Shazaam! we ordered a trailering cover for her from iBoat. I insisted the boat was kind of a turquoise. My wife, whose colour sense is usually better than mine, insisted she was blue. All we had to go by were low-res pictures on my cell phone. I let her prevail.

Then we went back out to the boat. Turned out I was right. Kind of.

It didn't take us long to figure out a trailering cover doesn't work well as a mooring cover on a 182 Barchetta. So we had custom mooring covers made. This time I prevailed, and they were made of Sunbrella turquoise fabric.

No, the boat's not turquoise, either.

Or she is. Turns out it depends on the light. Sometimes that blue trailering cover doesn't look quite so far off. Sometimes that turquoise Sunbrella fabric looks spot on. The turquoise is certainly closer.

So good luck :rolling_laugh:

My 96' z212 was sunbrella turquoise. It had to be special ordered as nobody stocked this color of bimini's. You can get in touch with Sunbrella and they will send you out some samples to make a match.

Just make sure to check those colour samples under a variety of lighting conditions, sun angles, etc. Seriously. I would've never believed that lighting conditions could have that much effect on the perceived colour of something as what I've seen with Shazaam! and canvas.
