Re: website photo question...nothing important

I thought the numbers had to do with a race or some kind of competition, but had no clue because the ones I saw were different from boat to boat.
That's cool that you have a private lake that is big enough to support boaters. Most private lakes are only big enough for a small fishing boat or two!

Our lake is 368 acres, and we have 7 miles of shoreline. The longest run is 3-1/2 miles. There is about 80 boats that use the lake, and they limit the PWC's to only 60. The greatest use is on the weekends. The fishing club has a tournament every month, and some great fish get caught and released. We love it here, and the fact that we can use the lake every day is the cream on the cake. The only restrictions are the maximum length is 20' for runabouts, and 24' for pontoon boats. They also have a speed limit which is 45 mph on the weekdays, and 35 on the weekends. We have a very active water ski club, and most weekends have the lake full of skiers.

Developers around here have been buying up old rock quarries and houses are built around the water. It's a pretty cool idea. It looks like there are usually restrictions like those threejakes mentioned. The one closest to my house doesn't allow sport boats, looks like all they do allow is poontangs.

There are homes for sale here. Some are on the lake and some are "lakeview" homes. The prices range from $169,000 to $700,000. You can guess which ones are on the lake. PM me your address, and I'll mail you the sales paper.

Here is the official Lake Holiday site which does not list homes for sale, but contains information about the community: Lake Holiday On-Line

Lake Holiday Realtors link is: Lake Holiday Home Page - Be on vacation every day of the year

Also if you went to Real Estate Listings & Homes for Sale | Real Estate Agent Search | Coldwell Banker and put in Sandwich, IL you will get more homes/lots for sale.

We'd love to have you. We need more Mariah's on the lake.
