Clean way to charge batts when shore power is avail.

Hi folks,
I wanted to come up with a "cleaner way" to charge my batts, when at home or in a slip with shore power. Since my '96 Z255 has only one shore power outlet in the cuddy. I decided to add one aft under the engine cover on the port side gunwale.
It was pretty easy. I just got some marine grade romex cable and tapped into the load side of the original GFI outlet, ran the romex inside the port gunwale (really easy run)
it terminates under the engine cover, with a GFI outlet flush mounted in the gunwale.
I have a permanent mount dual battery charger and now I just plug it into the rear outlet, and can have the engine cover down, no extension cords coming out of the boat. Just connect the shore power cable and the batterys charge. The outlet also looks factory. I found it very simple and very useful. If anyone wants to see some pics I can post them.
