Fishin' with Bilge on or off?
When out on the lake fishing, with the motor off, do you leave the bilge pump running or shut it down? Do you leave the blower on? We took the '06 SX20 out on Monday evening and did some fishing with the kids, for the 1st time. I shut down the engine and turned off all my switches but my depth finder and stereo. It seems like when we took the boat out of the water for the night, we drained A LOT more water than usual (maybe just a coincidence...I don't know??) What's the protocol?

Re: Fishin' with Bilge on or off?
Hi LluberesMM,
We do just as you do... if the motor is off, so is the bilge blower and unless we need to remove any water, the pump is off too, but the auto switch will kick in if it needs to. You only need the blower on before you fire up the motor or when your moving too slow to get adequate airflow through the vents. As for the water, is it possible that there was water still in the boat before you set out for fishing and did you have a lot of ice in the on-board coolers to keep them sodas and brews cold? Thanks for the input Willy. It's good to know I was doing the right thing. Please see my latest post.....I think the bilge pump took a dump. :(
