winterizing questions

i have a 2006 mariah sx 19, didnt come with a manual and im getting ready to have it winterized. I just want to know if that particular boat has anything extra that has to be done with it during that process or if its just standard? Anyone know where i can get a copy of just that section of the manual for my boat?

The manual for the Sea Fox Mariahs won't tell you anything you need to know about winterizing. It's just a generic introduction to boating book.

Your boat doesn't have any "special needs" as far as winterizing goes, any shop can take care of it for you! A basic winterization service should include fogging the engine, fuel stabilizer in the gas tank and antifreeze through the engine. There are additional services you can opt for, depending on how much you use your boat, the more high priced packages include engine & gear oil change, new impeller, outdrive removal, bellows & ujoint lubrication or changes and many other things. Winterization packages from dealers usually range from about $100 up to $500+.

Hope this helps!

yes thanks, i have free boat storage where i work and the mechanic that works on all of the company vehicles winterizes the boats for the employees also. he is doing all of the basic things but just wanted to make sure because my boat was newer there was nothing else he needed to know. No one here has a mariah to compare anything to that i personally know so just thought i would double check.:wink_thumbup:

free boat storage? i'm totally jealous!! do you work in the marine business?

no i work at Richmond International Raceway. Just a perk for being an employee. It's really cheap here thou i think 325.00 from now until april. Buildings not heated but its enclosed. Usually store a couple hundred boats thru the winter time.

Hi my97camaro,

Try reading this tutorial (click here), specifically "How to add pictures #2:", this should help for adding them to your post or read this one for adding them to the Gallery (click here)...

If not, let me know and we'll figure it out.
