96 talari won’t plane out

Hello all. Im a new boat owner and a new Mariah owner. I love the boat other than I can’t get it to plane out level unless I’m full throttle and turn a little bit. This boat is equipped with what I was told were planer boards!? A silver board with a cylinder hooked to them on each side in the rear. The first time I took the boat out they worked…kinda lol now I can’t get them to work at all…I can hear the white square relay clicking in the back but no movement. I honestly don’t know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated…I did search the forum before posting and didn’t see anything specifically pertaining to my issue
Thanks
Kurt

They're called 'trim tabs'. If you can hear the solenoid / relay clicking but nothing is happening you likely have either a poor connection (nut loose / corrosion etc) or the solenoid is failing / has failed. Check connections first.

I would agreee with that. But I’m not sure which wires to start with…it’s a bit overwhelming when you look back there haha I would assume since it worked one day and not the next and the solenoid is clicking it’s just not getting a full 12v…thanks for your reply
