Chariot Trailer Brake fluid

Hey does anyone out there know which type of brake fluid a 96' model chariot trailer would take? My reservoir is very low and clunking is pretty annoying. Did a search on the site and couldn't find an answer. Thanks.

You'll probably get better answers in the "Trailering & Tow Vehicles" forum.

Is it printed on the reservoir cap or stamped on the coupler? I would expect it to be DOT3.

I couldn't find it stamped or printed anywhere on the trailer. Oh well I'll figure it out.

I would be very surprised if it wasn't DOT3.

Most trailers use DOT 3. Hope you got it sorted out!
